Archive for December, 2007Come to GH tonight for food and nog!Saturday, December 22nd, 2007The food will be laid out around 10pm tonight – it is from Spring Rolls – we do have a microwave, but if you want to get it fresh and hot, show up around 10pm. We also will have some spiked egg nog for everyone who comes in, free of charge. We hope this will become an annual tradition, some come on down tonight to “Todd and Mandy’s Christmas Soiree”. No cover charge all night, possible surprise shows. And Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 is…..Saturday, December 15th, 2007Johnny Heartfelt took the Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 crown and sash this evening at the Mr. Goodhandy’s Pageant. Milo De Milo and Tommy Blades were close first and second runner ups respectively. Photos were shot by Tania A. and will be posted as soon as they are processed. All 5 contestants put tons of time and energy in the pageant, and we’re hopeful that the 5 will form a new “Mr. Goodhandy’s” group and perform together throughout the year. Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 Finals Friday Dec 14.07Friday, December 14th, 2007Don’t forget to come to the Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 pageant finals tomorrow, December 14th. Show time is 10:30pm, cover charge is only $5, and the contestants are presenting evening wear and talent. We have some really exciting surprise guests, and the judges are all fabulous and diverse. Note to anybody wondering about the gallery from last week’s pageant – we did not want to potentially influence any judges, so we have decided to post all the photos together after the weekend. Tacones is still available at the barFriday, December 14th, 2007For those who missed my book launch on Sunday December 9th, Tacones (high heels) is still available at the club. This is a special 10th anniversary edition of a book I wrote when I was 22. It was very well received at the time, sold out, and I figured it was time to re-release it. It contains the original novel, plus 2 academic essays, and a short afterword. Just ask any bartender if you’d like to purchase the book.
Upcoming Saturday Night "I love sex parties"Friday, December 14th, 2007Our monthly Tuesday “I Love Sex Parties” have been so interesting and successful, that we are introducing a monthly Saturday version of the same party.
This is a mixed-gender, mixed-sexuality, sex party for open minded adults only. There is a “women / trans-only” area set up backstage for any women or trans people who wish to have their own area. The upstairs is clothing optional, and after midnight there will be an orgy of sorts on the dance floor.
The Saturday party also came to be because we heard from many swinger couples who said they simply can’t go out on a Tuesday night. So expect the same diverse crowd we’ve been having thus far, plus we hope to also see many swinger couples.
Free for women and trans people (that includes the entire trans spectrum, ie: if you are a cross dresser, you qualify for free cover, and if you are arriving as male, and intend to change, just let the door person know so you will not be charged cover).
Holiday Soiree – Goodhandy’sFriday, December 14th, 2007We’d like to start what will be an annual tradition, to say thanks to all the diverse communities that have supported us since we opened.
On Saturday December 22nd, drop by and have some food from our cold buffet, and some complimentary egg nog.
This will be a totally mixed night, there will be no official show, and DJ Nik Red will be spinning. There is no cover charge.
Visiting T-Girl Stripper Wed. Dec. 19Friday, December 14th, 2007Treat yourself for the holiday season – next Wednesday night there is a gorgeous new visiting t-girl appearing at the Lounge – Banessa Maria will be in Toronto for one night only at the Lounge, and she will also be appearing at Goodhandy’s on Thursday December 20th.
Meet the Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 Contestants (and vote!)Tuesday, December 4th, 2007It’s that time again – meet the contestants for the 2nd annual Mr. Goodhandy’s 2008 Pageant. You can also vote for the contestant who you feel is the most photogenic, and they will get a specical trophy and acknowledgement the night of the crowning (December 14th). You can only vote once – this is the link to the gallery! Come to Goodhandy’s this Friday December 7th, 2007 for the Sportswear and Speech categories, and come back again on Friday December 14th, 2007 for the Talent, Evening Wear, and crowning. Cover charge is $5, show time is 10:30pm, and since the pageant is broken into two sections, it’s not going to be one of those pageants that goes on and on for hours – it will be short and sweet and following the pageant, you can stick around and party with the contestants and dance with DJ Nik Red. There are also some special surprise performances during the pageant…. and the judges are all fabulous and fascinating. We will not be announcing judges in advance, but they are all confirmed. |
