Many of us can remember being a lot younger, attending our first fetish night, and for most of us in the 25 to 40 age range, that fetish party was a Northbound fetish party.
I am so thrilled that Northbound is moving their monthly fetish night to Goodhandy’s. I attended the Northbound fetish night when I was 19 years old, and had a pair of 29 inch waist leather pants. Many inches and years later, they are moving to Goodhandy’s.
The reason I love Northbound parties is that they have ALWAYS been pansexual – I would endeavour to guess that 15 to 20 years ago (not sure exactly what year they started) they were probably the ONLY club night in town that included straights, gays, trannies of all sorts, and kinky people, all in one room.
The upcoming Northbound party is on Saturday August 4th, and it is bound to be packed. I would strongly suggest coming early, to avoid a line-up.
Apparently the previous incarnations of Northbound parties all had “play areas”, but they explicitly did not permit any “penetrative sex”. So even though they have been around for more than a decade, being held at Goodhandy’s, where we DO permit “penetrative sex” is kind of revolutionary for the Northbound crew – which I think will make the night even more fun.
To the regular Goodhandy’s crew: remember – this is a promoter event, and you have to follow the rules of the promoter. The cover charge is $15, but it is $10 if you pick up one of the flyers (they are available at Goodhandy’s and at Northbound). Also remember, there is a strict dress code in effect at this party. If you don’t own leather, you can always just strip down to your underwear (if you are not wearing any underwear, well then I guess you will have to be nude)
Northbound has already delivered five pieces of dungeon equipment, they will all be set up on the night of, and I’m sure there will be lots of other surprises.
So please: put on your finest gear, and come and join the newest location of the Northbound party. I have been speaking to a lot of the regular Goodhandy’s people, and I’m excited because I think this will end up being the most mixed night Northbound has ever thrown. For example, I have talked to about 10 queer women, all of whom have wanted to attend previous parties, but were worried that they would not fit in, being dykes. But since it is at Goodhandy’s, they will be there. And also tons of shemales and t-girls are going to be attending. And from the Facebook event confirmation list, a lot of straight people will be attending as well. And I’m sure the gay boys will fill out the list.
