Good Friday to all, and for those of you who aren’t going to a church Friday night, Goodhandy’s is open with a great “King for the Night” show produced by Logan.
The Friday shows produced by Goodhandy’s have always started at midnight, but the past couple months we have worked with numerous promoters and discovered that starting the show earlier is more ideal. I have heard from a handful of queer women that they would go out to see a drag king show, but not if it started at midnight. And we also are so fortunate to have 2 amazing DJ’s at Goodhandy’s – DJ Nikki Red and DJ Carma. By starting the show earlier we get a longer time to dance with these two amazing souls.
So come on out tonight for Logan’s Classic Rock King for the Night Show. It starts at 11pm, and the cost is only $2 (that money goes to the performers). Also appearing in the show: The Zaas Brothers, CeCe My Playmate and Paige Turner, Holden, and Rider Gently.
Fans of tranaoke please note: Tranaoke in its current form has been cancelled. But don’t fret, Renee-nay and ‘Becca are working on a monthly queer open-mic night, to start on May 8th, and it will involve karaoke and other art forms. I don’t have a lot of info yet, so stay tuned to this website for details as we get them.
